About the artist

From a very young age, I have had an artistic soul. I grew up in small town Iowa, spent my boyhood active in Scouts with my father and brothers and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. I graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. I enjoy many forms of art and metal work is my passion.

Expression of my art takes many forms - the raw sketches as my ideas are formed; photography to capture things that inspire me, my work in progress, and my finished pieces; tool making; and finally metal smithing.

Outside of my art, I enjoy vintage British sports cars and motorcycles and being outdoors - fishing, camping, canoeing and kayaking.
